Vu Cong Dien (born 1975)  is a young artist, whose work has recently gained recognition and interest amongst some of the leading art dealers in Vietnam. Dien‘s style of painting is fresh and uniquely characterized by his vast expanses of fields dominated by large balloon shaped trees with the occasional tiny figure glimpsed in the background. The paintings are beautifully executed with a smooth sensitive touch of the brush exuding tranquility that is apparent in the subject matter of the paintings. Dien’s paintings were first shown in London by Durlacher Fine Art in 2006.
