When you look at these insects or animals from the normal distance, they look pretty (or at least not ugly), but if you have good photo camera with some macro, you can make some photos of them and they wont be so cool for your guts.

Great collection of WTF photos from old times. All of them are a litlle bit strange (it's so weird that they could create such a cool photos that we now like) and in black and white colors (or gray).
