The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival aka The Coachella Festival this music and art festival is held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Inland Empire’s Coachella Valley. At this festival you can listen to rock, indie, Hip Hop and electronic music as well as enjoy in watching large sculptural pieces of art. The main stages are: Coachella Stage, Outdoor Theatre, Gobi Tent, Mojave Tent, and the Sahara Tent.
2. All Tomorrow’s Parties, Somerset, UK (May)


All Tomorrow’s Parties is a music festival which takes place at Butlin’s holiday camp in Minehead, Somerset, England. It got its name after a Velvet Underground’s song. This festival was founded in 1999 as an alternative to Glastonbury and other larger festivals in the UK. The unique thing about this festival is that e organizers and artists stay in the same accommodation as the fans.
3. Primavera Sound Festival, Barcelona, Spain (May/June)


San Migel Primavera Sound is an awesome music festival that is held within the Parc del Fòrum leisure site which is located approximately 6 km north east from the center of Barcelona. 4. Exit Festival (The State of Exit), Novi Sad, Serbia (June)


Exit is an annual music festival held at Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad. This festival lasts for four days on the 18th century fortress by the Danube. the Association of the 40 largest festivals in Europe, awarded Exit the “Best European Festival” award.
5. Roskilde Festival, Roskilde, Denmark (June/July)


It is one of the six biggest annual festivals in Europe. (The other five are the Sziget Festival, the Glastonbury Festival, the Paléo Festival, Rock Werchter, and Exit Festival. It was t was created in 1971 by two high school students.In 2007 the Roskilde Festival had more than 180 performing bands. Around 80,000 people came to the festival.
6. Splendour in the Glass, New South Wales, Australia (July/August)


This two day festival is extremely popular. Over 17,000 tickets get sold in an hour, the demand is huge. Soon after the sell-out, festival tickets that initially cost $125 were offered on eBay at inflated prices of up to $3000. Make sure you get yours on time. This annual Australian music festival is held in July at Woodford, Queensland. It was previously held at Belongil Fields, outside Byron Bay.
7. Summer Sonic Chiba & Osaka, Japan (August)


This annual rock festival lasts for two or three days. It is held at the same time both in Osaka and Chiba. Both Japanese rock bands and international acts come to perform. Most of the bands playing in Osaka the first day go to Chiba the following day and vice versa.
