The World’s Smallest Animals- So Tiny
Being small in a big world may be frightening if you don’t have someone to look after you. But being the smallest must be even scarier. Growth hormone stimulates cell reproduction and regeneration. In animals that are tiny the growth hormone is not produced significantly in order to trigger growth. In those cases particular unit stays tiny therefore we have those animals and even humans who stop growing more quickly than it should be the case. Just take a look at these extremely small animals, whose size will amaze you.
1. Mr. Peebles

This kitten is in fact a two-year old cat. His name is Mr. Peebles and he is only 6.1-inch (15.5 cm) high and 19.2-inch (49 cm) long. The reason that he is so small is a genetic defect that disabled him from growing. He is the world’s smallest cat according to the Guinness Book of World Records. He is adorable beyond all apprehension.
2. Ducky

This pooch is only 1.4 pounds (0.6 kg) and 5 inches (12.7 cm) tall. He is the world’s smallest dog according to the Guinness Book of Records.
3. PeeWee

PeeWee is the smallest hamster in the world. He’s the size of a coin but his as cute as twice his size. Who wouldn’t like to have him for a pet?
4. Thumbelina


Thumbelina is not a pony but the world’s smallest horse. She weights 24kg and is only 17 inches tall.
5. Tiny Fish

Most of the fishes are tiny, but this one is tinier than the rest. This barely visible fish was found on the Indonesian Island of Sumatra and is only 7.9 mm (0.3 inches) long.
6. So small…

Can you recognize the animal in the photo? That’s right, it’s a tiny chameleon. The Brookesia Minima is the smallest species of chameleons. Female chameleons are bigger than male chameleons. They can be found on the north-west coast of Madagascar. If you walked passed them you wouldn’t probably noticed term or even differ these small animals from a small insect.
7. Hippocampus

Hippocampus or a Seahorse is a tiny dweller of the sea. This one is only half an inch (1.28 cm) tall, no bigger than a fingernail.
