Fun / March 1, 2010 / View Comments, 11,402 views

I am wondering something and asking myself over and over again: “Are their heads totally empty?”. I mean, I know a lot of Emo kids and they are kind a good and fine persons, but that outfit, crazy and strange behavior, that hair colors, music that they are listening can be described only in one word – CRAZY!!! Maybe some of you wont agree with me, but i can guarantee that you will after you check out all of these photos.

We Are Emo Kids

Meaning of EMO (wikipedia):

Emo (pronounced /ˈiːmoʊ/) is a style of rock music typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. It originated in the mid-1980s hardcore punk movement of Washington, D.C., where it was known as “emotional hardcore” or “emocore” and pioneered by bands such as Rites of Spring and Embrace.

As the style was echoed by contemporary American punk rock bands, its sound and meaning shifted and changed, blending with pop punk and indie rock and encapsulated in the early 1990s by groups such as Jawbreaker and Sunny Day Real Estate. By the mid 1990s numerous emo acts emerged from the Midwestern and Central United States, and several independent record labels began to specialize in the style.

Emo broke into mainstream culture in the early 2000s with the platinum-selling success of Jimmy Eat World and Dashboard Confessional and the emergence of the subgenre “screamo”. In recent years the term “emo” has been applied by critics and journalists to a variety of artists, including multiplatinum acts and groups with disparate styles and sounds.

In addition to music, “emo” is often used more generally to signify a particular relationship between fans and artists, and to describe related aspects of fashion, culture, and behavior.

Why're almost ALL of these NOT emo, I see harajuku, scene, decora, Trash, goth, lolita, indust. and even cosplay (also there're some attention wh*res in there) in here, that's not EMO, it's because of such people that I'm called emo just because my hair is longer, and I'm not even wearing dark or sinister like cloths.
Emos don't even have to have dark clothes or listen to everything that goes beyond the distortion level of rock guitar tunes. They just have to be whiny and not care about anything, like their appereance and their school

They don't have to be whiny, just not care and being lonely kinda.Something happens to me only I do like the color black.Anyways, emo is just unhappy ppl who don't care and are most likely lonely.

A lot of these are not emo at all...when I think of the emo kids I went to school with, they were greasy, whiny, and usually smelled like -LOVE-. The majority of the pics are more scene kids, harajuku girls, lolita, etc..

On a side note I recognized one of these kids from the city I grew up in :P
  • srieda

Um, I completely understand that "emo" is kinda dumb but you have decora girls in there, the ones covered in bright and random accessories is a fashion popular in japan, not emo.
