Taxes, taxes, taxes we all hate them but have to pay them. The government is trying to get as much money as possible into their piggy bank by introducing all kinds of weird new taxes. Here are some of the weirdest.
1. Flush Tax

In this case your money literally goes down the toilet. The Maryland Legislature decided to protect the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries so it passed the so called flush tax.
2. Soul Tax

In 1718 Peter the Great, czar of Russia, imposed a tax on souls. It had to be paid. Aside from that he taxed beards, beehives, horse collars, hats, boots, basements, chimneys, food, clothing, all males, as well as birth, marriage, and even burial. Taxes make the world go round.
3. Witchcraft Tax

In Romania witchcraft is something that has been passes on through generations. It seems that the number of witches is going to be reduced do to high taxes. The witches must pay 16 percent income tax and make contributions to health and pension programs.
4. Tattoo Tax

In Arkansas less people are getting tattooed do to the tattoo tax of 6 percent.
5. Wig Powder Tax

Fashion has a price. In 1795, powdered wigs were the biggest hit. , British Prime Minister William Pitt the Younger introduces a tax on wig powder. Soon after that there was a protest against the aforementioned tax. The powdered wigs were out of fashion by 1820.
6. Crack Tax

Taxes for the sale of illegal substances were introduced in 2005 in Tennessee. Dealers were to pay anonymously $3.50 for marijuana, $50 for cocaine, and $200 for meth and crack cocaine.
7. Catholic Tax

In Germany a Catholic who objects to paying church tax has to formally leave the church. He gets excommunicated. The Roman Catholic Church has lost a lot of followers do to this tax.
